Our middle school banked on values education and homeroom sessions as one of the most important inclusions in our curriculum. We wanted to inculcate social values to make them more responsible citizens of the country. In line with our Patch Adams project, we were into making these children realize the value of giving.
Through a formal campaign that we have launched to raise funds for hearing aids, we managed to take that one huge step in the awareness part of the project. Making these normal children aware of the dire need of their fellow youth was moving, especially with the use of our specially made campaign video that documents these children trying very hard to live normal lives.
Just as soon as the campaign period is over, we were surprised with the turnout of events and our own calculations pointed to fifty hearing aids to be given away. But as soon as we made our purchase through Aid Right, our projected fifty rose to sixty – all out of the discounts that we managed to get from that bulk buy. This meant ten more changed lives. Best of all, the warranties are up to two years, as opposed to other suppliers who’d normally give these products out for a year’s worth of warranties.
Hearing aids do not have to a burden even if it was just a single personal purchase. With the great value for money guaranteed through more advanced technologies, the established names in the industry, and the warranties, there is just no way can a changed life be equated with a price.
